This pair I was quick to learn were married as Mr and Mrs Marzo. He was a doctor of natural history and his wife was a doctor of science - quite the pair they were. They married in the holy name of knowledge and have kept true to it ever since.

Of course, I waited a few years before I actually left Alley Town. But when I did, it was so exciting! I was 15 but the world for a 15-year-old girl is restricted so of course I went out as a boy. "How strange!" you exclaim? Yes it was and I didn't much like having to always be in disguise but I had to in order to do what I wanted without getting held back just because I were a girl. Besides, many other women have done the same thing for about the same reasons.

When I was a small kid growing up in the dark, dirty, and dingy back alley's of London known to it's inhabitants as Alley Town, I can still recall the poverty and undoing that struck nearly anyone who dared walk or indeed live inbetween the teetering masonry walls of a city getting to big for it's own good.
