My wife and I are talking about making a trip to White Horse and Skagway (maybe Haines) on memorial Day weekend, May 25-27. This is still in the very tentative planning stages but we would like to…Continue

There will be a SteamPunk ball in Whitehorse 2/20/15. That is only a 950 mile drive! No plane. No Ferry.

I just found that Fairbanks is even steamier.
We might have an opportunity to visit Fairbanks next MLK weekend. Anything steamy happening then-ish?

Besides various specials on airfare (like to visit Juneau), it gets you two free check-in bags when flying through the lesser 48.
I looked at the website and all the events, posts, and comments refer to spring events last year, in 2011. I did not find any mention of a LARP or activity in 2012. Who is the primary organizer/contact for QAEL?
Much to do in Fairbanks, by the way. Spring Break? Who knows right now. We are running a steampunk LARP called "Rise of Aesther". Check it out on the web.
Industrial Mechanic with fabrication skills at your service.
Greetings and Salutations.
I am new to the group and would like to say hello. I live in Anchorage, so you may not see me around where the League is stationed(if it is not in Anchorage, of course). I am myself a student venturing into artistry after years of practice in the arts(mostly drawing of anime characters of my own creation). It is good to meet you all.
Sincerely,
Coal Furnison, S.G.
